Paintball with 1/2 red 1/2 white shell? Also brass barrel - is it worth it?

Hi everyone

Have anyone seen paintball with 1/2 red 1/2 white shell? Doesn't matter the fill.

Reason being, i am building a pneu articuno mag ( phoenix mag with articuno engraving) - yes it's pokemon :-P

Hence the reason of the 1/2 red 1/2 white shell just for fun.

Second question is: Is the brass barrel worth the price? It seem to cost almsot as much as the Titanium barrel. Can they ever be anodize? I am considering lighting ano my mag ( silver with light blue streak or vice versa, kinda like snow/ice beam. )

Thanks

Is which brass barrel worth the price? Brass barrels, depending on the manufacturer, are very very nice barrels. Palmer barrels are some of these and are really the only ones still made.

As to a half white, half white ball.... no idea.

As for the paint I've seen Draxxus make paintballs that color before.

To answer one of your questions, no, brass cannot be annodized. In general, brass barrels have been superior performers, but if you arer looking for a specific visual, Aluminum is the best choice since it can be annodized to match.

I've seen it around, I think they used to have that color pattern a lot at Walmart or other chain stores. It was one of the cheeper paints I think that came in the plastic bottles in amounts of 500 or something like that.

Brass is nice. Like people have said above, you can't anno it. It can, however, be powder coated or plated. You can find decent brass barrels for sale from time to time in the BST section.
Honestly, if you are trying for a fancy anno, it's worth it to invest in a good barrel. I agree with WilD. If you're more about the asthetics of your gun, I'd go aluminium so it can be match annoed.

You could always try doing a brass sleeve press fit inside an aluminum shroud, as well. Tymcneer had some thin-walled brass tube that would work. That way you get brass goodness inside, and you can anno outside. Not sure how brass reacts to the process though so I'd highly recommend you anodize first then put the sleeve in after.
