Buzzard body

I'm thinking about re-anodizing my Buzzard, and I was just wondering if the body(or any other part of it) was Stainless Steel? I'm not sure if they are or not, and the final color could depend on that.

Thanks.

depends on what generation and possibly how custom it is. Most older ones have stainless bodies and stainless barrels, some newer ones have aluminum barrels, but still stainless bodies. Some really, really old ones will have aluminum barrels and stainless bodies. I'm not sure if there are any with aluminum bodies but wouldn't be suprised if there are. I have seen both old and new Comps with aluminum bodies for instance.

Is there a way to tell a difference? I know the barrel is aluminum, it's anodized currently.

If it's heavy it's stainless? Generally, Buzzards are stainless bodies. Yet to see one that wasn't. If the whole gun is one color, then the body is shiny metal, safe bet it's stainless. Most Carters are all anodized the same color, most Buzzards are stainless bodies, and stainless is a lot heavier than aluminum. If it's aluminum it should weight about as much as an aluminum barrel, and there will probably be wear marks from the pump arms.

Ok.. Up again. Just put a magnet across it and it wasn't magnetic, but I know some steel isn't magnetic. Is it supposed to be like this?

some is, it all depends.. do you have pictures of the gun?

you could always compare the body with a phantom body.. if its much lighter, you'll know its stainless.. assuming your phantom body is alum, which they usually are..

Thanks.
The main (shiny) part of your Buzzard is stainless, sorry I didn't see this post earlier, would've saved you some time. Your marker wasn't in my hands for very long, but I am positive about this one. How do ya like it? The Pyre took some getting used to, but I love it as well. Hope that helps, if ya need anything, let me know.
