I'm not saying it's impossible but it doesn't look like an optical illusion to me.

| MCB Member Join Date: Mar 2008 | flawless guns from that era DO exist... and a lot more than you'd think... when i picked up my first autococker (way back when, in 2006)... i was told it was a 1998 autococker with "palmers stuff on the front" now, he wanted to trade me this "flawless" cocker from 98, with "palmers stuff" on it... for a field rental m98.... naturally, I said SURE!, and let him ship first... when i tell you that this autococker was truly flawless.... there was not a single scratch, tool mark, ano wear, NOTHING... even had all the stock parts AND the "palmers stuff" (ram, lpr, still not sure on the 3 way though) so now it sits on my wall, never to be used on the field due to it being in PERFECT shape, id feel bad using it... i even suction timed it...

Seriously though, I never understood "wall hangers." I've always said that's why I could never own those ub3r rare guns, I'd actually try to play with the bleedin' things. | |

If the seller considers a bent ram to have no impact on the "flawless" condition of the gun then maybe that big scratch on the other side, or the fact that all the o-rings are dried out and leak like mad didn't have an effect on his "flawless" description of the gun either. Some people have a different idea of flawless than others just like some people have a different idea of "new in box" than others. I've seen guns listed as new in box only to find out when prying a bit that the owner "only put 2 or 3 cases through it" before deciding to sell it. There's nothing like buying a "new" gun or loader only to receive it filthy and dripping with paint. The point of all my posts is that the buyer must beware and that everyone's opinions of what gives a gun a certain grading condition are all different. This may very well be a flawless gun and the ram being bent may very well be an optical illusion or the only issue with the gun but until the potential buyer has it in his hands he can't really trust the other person's opinion because his may be wildly different.
