68 Carbine

Just wondering what a 68 carbine in good shape brings in these days, I was offered one for 60$ from a kid who lives down the road and I was wondering if it was a good price. I'll snatch it if its in good shape.

I havn't seen it yet but its supposedly in very good shape, thing is I've been told it was a 68 special and when I heard 60$ after that my jaw dropped, now its just a 68 carbine, so idk what to expect...I'm hoping to go to see it and see a very nice 68 special for 60$...probably not going to happen but its a nice fantasy, he probably just said 68 special by accedent

Good price for a properly functioning 68 carbine in decent cosmetic shape. Not a bad price for a well used but functioning 68 special, as well.

68 carbine?

Someone dropped my model 98 and damaged the rear end of the diecast body.............I doubt the 68 carbine would have broke as easily.

Seems smoother and quieter than a 98..........due to the machined body parts.

I've never actually used a 68 carbine, are the internals of the bodys coated in overspray like the 98s and A5s? I always polish the internals when i get a new 98( i pick them up cheap, clean and fix them and resell them). I'm assuming quality was better when the 68 carbine was in production.

Speaking of quality control, I heard that Tippmann started manfacturing markers over seas now, is that true?

Carbines are anno'd machined aluminum, much higher quality and no overspray to worry about.

As far as I know, only the triumph line is made overseas, but who knows...

Id be happy that its a procarbine as tippmann and other places still have parts for them.

Now for anyone looking for 68 special parts give this number a ring. 260-471-4334 They are good guys and are the only place that I know of that has the new old stock.

Ask for jay.
