Nel-Spot Replacement Guts.

Back in the days it was very easy to get replacement parts for Nel-Spot based markers. Everything from: bolts, hammers, cup seals, valve tubes, spring kits, etc. Now days I've noticed that I can't even find a hex head velocity rod for sale.

For example I used to always buy Line SI valve tubes to mix-n-match the ID to my needs, and Thunderpig was always my spring kits of choice.

I was thinking about refurbishing some of my gear and was wondering if anybody has suggestions as far as brands are concerned?

I buy LAPCO valve tubes and then polish them up a bit more, especially around the gas inlets by the cup seal. They're out of business now, but NW black magic cup seals are fantastic.

Some people have had luck switching over to Phantom parts. Search around for some posts by B and Rathblaster.

Here is the link I think:

www.airsoldier.com (HaveBlue) usually has some Nelson parts in stock, including some LAPCO and Carter valve tubes.

Phantom bolts aren't tapped so they cannot accept threaded bolt arms. I suppose a Phantom bolt can be tapped for a larger diameter bolt arm, but then it might not fit through the bolt arm slot to the pump handle. I should have asked Rathbaster how he got around that. A better match for a Nel-Spot would be the internals from a Grey Ghost. (Obviously hard to come by...) Bacci here usually has some for sale.

When using a phantom bolt in a nelson, pull out the tpc set screw and screw your pump screw into that hole.

I totally forgot about Bacci, he's got a bunch of Nelson parts in his for sale post.
