| Jack Wagon! | upgrading a PMI 1
Alright, I finally got to play with my PMI 1 on saturday and it was exactly how I had hoped it would be. But long story short, I want to make a few changes. I've heard good things about the Palmer Speed Gates and also their quick changers for 12 grams. I don't feel like sending it to them because Id rather do the work myself, so what I want to know is: -if there's anything special i have to do to install the speed gate or if i can just throw it on there. -if there's any extra charge for getting an extended quick changer for the PMI 1 suggestions/ recommendations welcome ~Carter |

Both are good worthwhile options, I have them both on mine. W/ the Speed Gate, you can stick a 10-rd tube in the back and leave it to double the capacity. As C6 said, they just fit right on w/ no modifications. I don't think the extended 12g Fasst Changer costs any more than a PGP one, at least mine didn't.

awesome thats good to hear. the gun shot at perfect velocity so i figured i wouldnt spend the money on the performance tune just yet. but i do want the speed gate and the quick change for skirmish's Battle For Berlin at the end of october, so that's good that they are simple mods. |

Glad she's working out for ya. One suggestion, though: keep your 12vies as warm as possible, like stash 'em in an inside pocket or something. Late October at Skirmish you're looking at a high in the 40s (if you're lucky), which means not-so-great mileage out of a 12 gram.
