| MCB Member | Value of a ICD Promaster SI *Pics Added* OK first off, are these ICD or Line SI or are they one in the same? I don't have pics yet. The gun is in the mail. I picked it up in a package with some other items that I wanted. The gun is said to work and includes three barrels. I don't think it comes with the original neoprene foregrip. Vintage Rex What are these worth, or at lease what have they been selling for recently? There is not price in the MCB BB for them. I know that they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them, but what have people been willing to pay for them recently. Picture with manual, three barrels, and parts Serial Number LE 47 Last edited by MrBig; 06-18-2008 at 12:24 AM.. |

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | I recently sold mine that wasn't working for $55 shipped. Mine was missing a part too. The internals looked more like Spyder internals. So I don't know about ICD. Hope that helps.

| . Join Date: May 2006 | Tricked and or mint condition is about a hundred. Used, but working - 55-85 depending on the goodies that come with it. Not working, well - 25 -50. I love the promasters. Nice "little" marker. Parts wise, the valve stem and cupseal and valve spring and maybe the trigger spring (iirc) are interchangable with a classic spyder. Everything else is different. smiley |

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | This is what I know, which is 95% rumor, so it must be true- In mid 1991, Line-SI released the Promaster. At that point, LineSI was run by Ross Alexander, and Jerry Dobbins. They had high hopes for the Promaster, as the Bushmaster sales had vanished, and the Advantage DA was dead-on-arrival. The gun itself had many bugs. Bolt problems. Valve problems. Ball breaking. Recocking issues, etc. Basically, LineSI was very short on money, and rushed the gun to market way to early. However, they still managed to sell guns mostly on the good name of the company. I believe they sold around 1,000 guns in 1992. By early 1993, Ross and Jerry were fighting over direction of the company, stemming from financial problems. The Promaster designed had been tweaked to fix problems, but by then it had already had a bad reputation, and word-of-mouth was killing sales. Line-SI ran out of money, and sued each other. The suit was bloody, and as they say "Only the lawyers won". Line-SI officially ended here, and they split up. Ross Alexander then formed his own company "Indian Creek Designs". Originally selling rebadged Promasters, as ICD Promasters using New/Old stock to build up cash-flow, then working on some totally new guns (Panther, etc). The Panther was released in early 1994. Jerry Dobbings left the gun-business, and instead opened up a paintball field, and did tournament promotional work. Anyway, since the manual says "ICD", that would have to mean that it represents one of the very late 1993 versions, post-split. It probobly has the larger valve chamber, and improved bolt?
