| MCB Member | Using a barrel adapter with a barrel kit. I picked up a Scepter 2000 barrel kit that has ion/imp threads and my marker has a/c threads. My question is, by using the barrel adapter will that decrease the performance of the barrel kit? Or should i just unload the Scepter and get something with the a/c threads? |

Unfortunately I have no idea if the older Scepter backs are compatible with new backs, so you might be hard pressed to find just a back for that kit. You could try contacting Powerlyte but their website is currently undergoing updates (and has been for the past 3 months As far as an adapter, does anyone even make Ion-Cocker adapters?

Usually an adapter gives you about an inch or so of what would in this case be an uncontrolled bore. I would either trade it or sell it. But it's entirely up to you. E
