Which Screw Do I Need???

i fee like an idiot, but i want to make sure i order the right screw for the job
it's essentially the same screw as the ones for the grips on E1s and E2s... i've been told 6-32... i figure i need it to be 5/8" long to attach the tank rings to this old WGP T-stock... any advice or opinions would be appreciated, thinkig of ordering off of McMaster Carr or Microfasteners (two places listed in the resource thread in the DIY forum). the airsmith at the local store suggested retapping the stock for a bigger screw, but that seems like a hassel.

Find the threading like weekend said above, then file the screw down to the appropriate size, thats what I did when I lost a screw to a custom work.

I don't have them at work with me, but I agree, I think they are 6/32. They DO come in larger sizes like 5/8 and up. Do you have a local hardwear store? Could you check there?
Does it absolutly have to sit flush with that particular head? You might find more machine screws in panhead. Could you make due?
Or does it HAVE to be an allen key head? Sometimes it's easier to find philips compatable screws. (Don't know why, must be more popular or something.)

Honestly, before ordering I'd check around at local hardwear stores to see if they have anything available in the little pick and choose bins.
