Mending pants?

Say what you want about "overpriced" Dye pants, but they've protected me from my share of injuries.

However, the knees are coming apart where two different types of fabric meet. My stone-age mending skills lasted for one slide on the field.

How do I go about mending these in a permanent fashion. Or, is this something a tailor could do any better than me?

What year pants? If they are from this model year or last Dye may actually replace them if its at a seam...

One of the local Dye sponsored teams had a seam or two come undone on their dye pants and dye did replace them

It would be cheaper to buy a new pair of pants.

Unless you have a sewing machine or are really talanted with thread and a needle (or have a friend or family member who is), I'd say spend a couple bucks and get it done professionally. It will last longer and look better that way.

Of course, if you feel like embarking on a fun path of learning about sweing and practicing on stuff to get it right, it honestly isn't all that difficult.
