Empire reload II uses more power than Vegas

I bought an Empire reload II hopper for use on my mech. cocker. If I put two fresh 9v batts in it doesn't last the day. like maybe 600 balls/ 4 hours! what's going on? Is this the worst loader in the world? Is there anything descent out there that isn't a Halo?

I have never seen a difference between my 99cent cheapo rayovac batteries and 5 dollar duracells.

Rayovac are O.K. but they arent 99 cents.

99 cent store "alkolyne" batteries are way way way crapper than any real alkaline.

Only thing I can think of is the sound sensor is more power consumptive than an IR detector (eye). 12V Revvy's (w/X board) don't seem to be too hard on batteries.

Have you tried getting the premium Energizers? I have good luck with those.

Woah, that's pretty bad. I have an older reloader and batteries last many days of play. Maybe you had some bad batteries or are you playing in a noisy enviroment? If I'm playing in shipping containers or otherwise sheetmetal bunkers. Incoming fire will set off the hopper and it constantly agitates.

I think mine must be defective. I just read two dozen reviews on the loader and only a hand full mention poor battery life.
