Not sure how well a Race solenoid tolerates CO2 (I think they're Humphries) - I plan to get a Fatty at some point with it to replace the Torpedo reg that's on it already, and I may pick up a female Stab to double reg it. Sound like a good setup? Or should I just break down and get a HPA tank? I'm really not that familiar with e-Cockers, least of all a Race frame, so I'm a little lost at the moment. I'll have it this week, just want to see what I have to do to use it this weekend. I've already got a spare female Stab I can toss on it if need be, with a matched A/S tank. Jordan

The stab has co2 vents, which greatly reduce the chance of a blown noid, but not 100%. If you really wanted to run co2, a Rock also has vents, plus the anti-siphon would make for a pretty good combo. nick

If your cocker is fairly efficient and air fills are nearby the field you could start out with something cheap like these: Smart Parts 48/3000 Paintball Tank Guerrilla Myth Regulator Paintball - Paintball Guns, Paintball Tanks, Paintball Gear, Paintball Reviews My brother-in-law uses the bottom one on his new Black Magic and although the tank needs refilled rather frequently he likes it a lot. A used fiber wrapped 4500 could be found a little bit more than that if you shop around. I'm not saying you can't use CO2 or that you'll definitely have problems if you do but I am saying that by trying to use it you are taking the risk of spending more money in the long run and causing yourself unnecessary frustration. If it were me I'd shelf the gun until I had the money to use it properly and not risk damaging it or dealing with frustrating problems.

I use a anti-siphon tank and a fatty reg on my mech cocker, and I don't have any liquid issues, but then again, I don't have 'noids to worry about. | |

Just wanted to know if it was possible to run CO2 on a Race'd Cocker, or, as mentioned, should I shelve it until I get a compressed air tank. Jordan

This is something that got lost in the switchover to HPA as the dominant gas ... LP had an inherent point with CO2 use due to the thermodynamics of CO2.
