Id say, if you have another marker to shoot Co2 with, use it before the Race. The risk of damaging the solenoid is real, and expensive to fix. Shelve it til you get HPA, use Co2 on a competent backup.

If you don't have the money to buy a compressed air tank, than you won't have enough money to buy everything needed to make sure liquid Co2 doesn't get into the gun (dual stabs, anti-siphon).

But if you run remote, than that would be a different story. It is really hard for liquid Co2 to travel vertically up through the remote.

You don't need dual Stabs to run CO2, and I already have the tank anti-siphoned.

Evidently HPA tanks are a lot cheaper in the States than they are up here in Canada.

Jordan it's Alex

head on over to Canadianpaintball.com

$49 for a 48/3K tank shipped with tax and all is just over $65

so there's no way that's not dirt cheap.

Sure is cheap, but I don't want a 48/3000 tank - pretty useless to me.

Less than 3 hoppers off of a fill? I need a tank I can use on the Cocker and a Mag.

Well, I hooked my CO2 tank up and had no problems running it - I ran out of CO2 before I could really get a good feel for the gun, but I had ZERO problem with liquid, and I had it running pretty fast - Race frames are insanely easy to walk. I think I had it up to 15, 16 BPS - a landmark record for me, especially as I'm used to a mech Cocker or a Typhoon.

I don't plan to use it all the time, it's just nice to know that it's a possibility if I run out of HPA.
