My viking is easy to maintain, no more expensive than electros that are half as good and performs flawlessly every time I have brought it out, and I love it.

Its noob, not newb. Well what I like about the stock AKA markers is that you can club someone to death with it and still be able to play all day without any hiccups. Try doing that with an 08 Ego. . They require less maintenance than a Tippmann. Basically 3 drops in the ASA before airing up and a drop or 2 on the bolt. Make sure you keep the outside clean and I advise against taking it apart and or tinkering with it unless you know what you are doing. I have seen too many people f' up their marker cause they thought they knew what they were doing. As far as preferable models, I prefer the Viking because it is less finicky and can shoot as fast as anything else out there. The Excal is heavier but smoother. Most people who have the dough like the custom milled versions, but the unmilled ones perform just as good.

I love all my AKA's. Himurax pretty much covered the bases. Really efficient, consistant, durable. And you can pick them up for a song these days.

Some people prefer the 03's and their wire detents and internal LPR's. I have no preference personally.

High quality, tight tolerances, best efficiency, pure awesome.

Also...

AKA did not bend over for SP. Big props to them for that too.

I got a Viking this spring.

It's just... awesome. It feels good to hold and is a lot of fun to shoot. It's fast, looks nice (to me at least) and like Himurax13 said, you can club someone with one yet still be able to run around and play the rest of the day. It doesn't have a flimsey feel either.
