PMI Trracer Barrel Stuck On......?

It feels like my PMI Trracer barrel is super glued into the gun. What should I do? I tried with all my brute strength to get it off, it wont budge. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thank you in advance.

Try 2 things...

Loosen the front frame screw, it may be too long.

hit it with a hair dryer (the body and barrel only) and loosen up some gunk that is in there. WD40 or PB Blaster would help as well (careful if you use those and heat!)

Is this one of the "new" ones that are even marked Maverick or Trracer?

It sounds like it was cranked on too tight or some schmuck put locktite on the threads... and that's assuming that the threads matched or were actually chased/finished on both the barrel and the body.

Worse comes to worse put the body in a padded vice and use a strap wrench on the barrel.

No, it's not a new one. I just put it on like 30 minutes ago. Now I can't get it off. Right now, I just have the body and barrel together, no internals or anything in it.

WD 40 it and let it sit for a minute or two.

I don't think an oring would pinch the barrel and body together that tightly. Have you tried the strap wrench yet?

No, I haven't tried a wrench. I don't want to shred up the barrel.

What could have caused this!? I just put it on and now it feels like it's cemented in.

Was it the stock barrel or an aftermarket barrel?

And a strap wrench is not a regular wrench, it uses a strap so as not to mar the finish... they are made for tightening plumbing pipes that don't have flats. If you have a regular wrench you can put several layers of cloth or leather or rubber between the jaws and the material you will be applying force to.

Ok, problem solved, my brother got it off. I still have no idea why it was so tight.

Strap wrench it, if you have a home depot near by take it to them.
