Replacing a Fill Nipple

I'm replacing a fill nipple on my 13ci tank and I wanted to know if BLUE loctite was good enough for the thread sealer?

Also is there anything else to a fill nipple other than the the nipple and the long check valve with rubber seal?

blue works, as does teflon tape...

my nipple has, the nipple, check valve with an oring.

Awesome, just need it to dry out a bit and then put it together
