Just to take things on a slight tangent, all this talk about the effect of dimples on a golf ball miss something ... they are all talking about the golf ball in a high rotation, high velocity state traveling through the air. There are other points at which the dimples may have a different effect, and such could relate to paintballs -- I'm thinking the first moments of acceleration and rotation from a standstill. CP: Try taking off the "front" of the barrel next time and see if that does anything. I am thinking that even if the ball does not actually touch the sides of the "front" (which is far from a given), the air charge will have a chance to equalize around the ball and return it more to a "normal" level of spin and in-barrel trajectory (on snap, did we just start talking about a ball's trajectory within a barrel?).

all the backspinbolts shown so far seem to have more area above the middle of the bolt than our backspin bolts? plus, shouldn't we see SOMETHING with our "almost backspin bolt"? i mean lets look at this realistically people ... HP, send me your gun, setup the way you use it - and ill test it.

i hate to break it to you guys, but you sound like a bunch of PBNers when we posted the "do shockers really shoot farther" myth over on PBN. they couldn't come up with any reason but still protested the test results. oddly enough, after a 20 odd page thread, they learned why the barrel is not a variable ... i have an honast to god cooperT bolt in the mail for me, so we will test that, just for you guys. will that be good enough? also, if anyone happens to have a spare pre 2k back block and would lend it to me that would be cool. otherwise, i have paypal too.
