Paintballing With Backpack On

The field i'm going to play at doesn't really have a place to put your stuff because it's a free field. I was thinking about putting some gear in a backpack and wearing it while playing. Any other ideas? Thank you in advance!

PS-I don't have a car so scratch that idea.

It'd make for a great workout, that's for sure! I've seen guys do that. Not often, but once in a blue moon.

Also saw a dude duct tape a cheap stereo on his back and play random CD's in the middle of a scenario once.

What about chaining it to a tree?

The only concern I'd have outside of it being a little cumbersome, would be not feeling "backpack" hits and constantly having to take it off to see if you've been hit.

Consider getting a contico case to put your gear in.
Its basically a large black plastic trunk.

I keep my gear in 3 of these. The one holding the guns I tend to padlock, and to secure it to a pick-nick table or a tree I can use a bike lock cord looped through the slits on the side and locked together.
Then I have the lid fitted with a simple poison needle trap (DC:20) The victim would suffer 2d8+6 damage, but a fortitude save would halve that.

Just don't keep bags of paint in your back pack. Way back when I first started playing I had a friend who barely had enough moeny to play so he didn't start off with many accessories.. like tubes and holders.. so his first day of play he had a bag of 100 balls in his back pack and was loading from that.... well I snuck up behind him and took a couple shots hitting him on his back pack... and in the process breaking all of his paint. I felt bad and gave him a bunch of paint. But it was still a funny (although sad on his part) moment.

If you play with a back pack, keep it small and light.

You better not be playing speedball..

I would do what everyone else says. Chain it to a tree, put locks on everything so they can't be opened.

Agreed, but it MUST be fluorescent green or hot pink in colour.

Back when I started in the 80's I had my CO2 tank in a backpack with a 4 foot straight line remote. I really liked that setup, but it only held the tank.
