Wooden Crosman Shoulder stock?

I remember seeing something like this: except it was made of wood and had the butt of a real stock. Basically a stock that attaches to the frame. looking for either/both ones that attach to a 45 frame and or sheridan/crosman/palmers/etc frames. Thanks

It was a custom job. The probelm with it is that if there is no metal plates to strengthen it, then it can snap off a grip "panel" easily.

I'm sure some one here could fab one up for you.

Disagree... there was a company that made beautiful wood stocks that were designed to be used with the old Crossman style grip frames as well as PGP's, Nellies and so forth.

Alas, they were not around for very long, but I used to have one of their stocks for a Nightmare and it was a very nice piece. The part that secured to the grip frame was meaty enough and I think there were even plates of some sort to mate with the grip frame of the gun.

Later, I will check my old mags to see if I can find the name of the company that made those, but they were closed up before semi's hit the sport.

I defer to Drums age and wisdom... and apologize for the misinformation... the only ones I've ever seen have been custom jobs from one of the few custom airgun places on the net.

recently I saw a pellet rifle company on-line selling custom crossman stocks for various pellet rifles, including the style that fits older BE.

That's exactly it. Anyone have experience with the site and their stocks?

Thanks

You can poke around on the links there, as some of the stock makers make the simular style stocks. They should not be too hard to make, even with the need for some internal bracing.

My experience was I sent the dude an email asking about stock mods for Sheridan frames, and he never replied..and I haven't gotten around to calling yet. He's local, apparently.

Didn't walther company make some walnut stocks that fitted the 1911s grips? I know there were some that used metal L plates to attach the wood to the pistol grip, and also 1911s came in what apparently were very sturdy leather holsters that doubled as a shoulder stock.... I suppose now I have an excuse to get one custom made for the nelspot lol....... I also recall a commercial company having made similar stocks to what xkpxfatassxx described other than RB grips
