68 carbine velocity?

68 carbine velocity!

I have a sweet 68 carbine, but the velocity seems difficult to adjust (using the normal velocity adjustment.). I just made a spigot?, .........so I would get greater tension on the bolt return spring. This seemed to help the velocity quit a bit.

I wonder if the return spring is weak (these markers are 10-14 years old.)

Does anyone have a healthy return spring (and can you measure the overall length?)

Thanks

I assume by "return spring" you mean the mainspring / rear bolt spring? If so, they are the same springs used in all the modern tippmanns. Get yourself a madman spring kit or similar and you should be good to go.

Shameless plug, but if you hit the Pro-Lite/Carb accessories link in my sig, I've got a couple of RVAs and folding stocks with RVAs for sale. Makes velocity adjustment way easier and you don't have to worry about messing up your powertube.

Forsale

Bad Habitz Trinity Spring Kit (4 Springs)
