How To Get My RVA To Stay On My Pro/Carbine?

I recently got a JCS RVA for my Pro/Carbine and i'm having trouble tightning it. Whenever I shoot, the RVA comes loose. It's one of those things that's really hard to tighten.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

When I built a RVA for my old stingray years ago I had the same problem. The threads ended up rather loose, so it would work loose very quickly. Glen Palmer (yeah, suprised me too when chimed in on the discussion) suggested putting automotive form-a-gasket, or RTV on the threads. Puts just enough resistance on the threads to keep it from vibrating loose.

you can use teflon tape in a pinch. all you are doing is "gumming" up the threads so that the slack is taken out. also, make sure that the RVA isn't cross threaded. it shouldn't be any tighter than your old back cap.
