Unique Anno question...

ok, i know that there are a ton of shops that will annodize a marker (i read the sticky over on P-butter nation); does anyone know of a shop that will obtain the marker directly from the manufacturer, annodize to your liking, and then ship it to you? i'd rather save on shipping time and don't want to have to dissasemble a brand new marker... any suggestions would be appreciated.

ps- looking to get a vice, just don't really like any of the available colors.

It probably has more to do with the factory than the person willing to anno it.

There is an issue of liability.

What if the gun comes from the factory with cosmetic problems. Or even defects. Is it the shops responsibilty to send it back? Does the shop even own it?

What if they anno it, then send it to you, and THEN you notice a factory defect. Did you technically get the gun 2nd hand, voiding the warranty? For that matter, did the anno work void the warranty?

Many retailers are very picky about where they ship to. ActionVillage would not ship me anything because my credit-card listed its "billing address" as a PO BOX. They only ship to the address on the card, but don't ship to PO Boxes.

That said, I'm sure some smaller anno shops will be happy to have your business. Just pay everything up front, and let them buy it for you.

Which company.. I know for a fee Bob Long Action Sports may be willing to get you a custom annoed gun.

Eclipse wont, dye/proto wont, and never mind about WDP...

do you happen to know approximately how much that would be?

IIRC when I did order mine I asked them if they would make me a dust gold or kahki one.. there aswer was something like $50 bucks extra once they get caught up with the demand of the standard colors.

Call them up they are quite friendly over there actually
