Prebuilt or custom front ends on a cocker?

I've asked a few questions over the last couple months in regards to halfblock cocker I've got going at the moment. The one thing I'm stuck on is the pneumatics. I've been looking at the Palmer kits and know PPS makes excellent products but how do their kits compare to a mix and match set? The price works out to pretty much the same so thats really not an issue - I just want the most bang for my buck.
The one feature I like on the Palmer stuff is the built in QEV in the ram for the same price or less as a non-QEV'd ram.

Lemmie know what the experts think,

You really can't go wrong with a Palmer front end. And it matches

The rock can't be beat, some lpr's match it but I can't think of any that beat it, and the palmer quick switch is really nice and I personaly have less leakage issues with it than any other x-way I've tried using.

Palmers are my favorite pnuematics. Performance and price is impossible to beat for cocker pnuematics.

Palmer's looking pretty good then . I had a feeling that you couldn't go wrong with em.

Is the best deal on the kit directly through PPS? I know Compulsive have individual parts quite a bit cheaper but it's still cheaper from Palmers for the entire kit.

One last thing. Is there any real advantage to get the Rock over the micro rock? Does the relief valve have a use often enough to make the extra money worth it?

Thanks for the help guys,
Penguin

I like the pressure relief setup but thats because i i use rocks to protect solenoids. In a cocker all you get is blown hoses and jammed pnuematics. However i prefer not to deal with that either so i say use the models that have a relief valve

Depends on what you're planning on powering it with. HPA only, I'd go with the MicroRock. If there's a possibility of you using CO2 in the marker, I'd go with the full-size Rock.

This cocker will only be mech, I already have a paint slinger. I'm also a HPA guy so no CO2 on this marker and that means hopefully no spikes. Anyways I don't use top hats so they're already a pressure relief valve. I don't have any more questions atm so thanks a lot for your thoughts.

Penguin

Palmers LPRs and Quikswitches are some of the best stuff out there. The ram is good but you can find others as good or better.
