| Question thread I have alot of questions, so, i decided to just make a thread about it.I want everybody's opinion, everyone will help me decide easier. Now here go the questions! 1. I have recently bought a 68 automag. i enjoy it, but there is one thing that completely annoys me when i am playing, partly because it makes the gun side heavy. So, i thought i should get a ule body. But i really like the barrel that i have on it at the moment. It is a old j&j barrel, and i like it because it is extremely short but makes the gun shoot amazing. So i thought mabey i should just have some custom work done to make it in a way a center feed. I would saw off the feed neck at the angle it allready is at. Then from there i would use some metal to extend off that just to the point where i would be able to put on a adjustable feed neck of somesort. WHAT IS THE BEST SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM? AND IF I DID GET CUSTOM WORK, HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST? 2. What is a good barrel system for the price? if you could name things under the hundreds to me, that would be great. I am specificaly trying to find a cheap 2-pc. system. But other things will be good too. 3. What is the best paint for the cheapest price? 4.What is the point of an angled handle/ regulator? Is it just for looks? 5. What are the upgrades you would suggest i get for my tippmann a-5? 6. What is the best barrel for a tippmann a-5 for a cheap price? 7.If i were to get a x-valve, ule body, intelliframe and all that other good stuff, Would i still have the same gun i started with? I mean, changing out all the key parts, how would it still be the same gun? 8. How the do you put pictures on here with out using a link? do you just copy and paste it? and if it makes a differance, it is a gimp file, not a jpg.9. Today i played a with my automag, When i used air it was getting o.k. range, however i only had about 1000 of 3000 psi left, By the time i decided to switch to co2, it was at about 400. when i screwed in a 20 oz. it shot with twice the range. Could this be because i was running low? And does co2 have a higher pressure than 3000 psi, If so do you think that could be what caused it? And if so, would it make a differance if i used my 4500 psi tank? 10. will a force feed hopper make a mag chop more often? 11. if i have a intelliframe , x-valve, and say a lvl 10, how fast will you be able to shoot the automag? on say a classic automag body if it makes a differance. And here is a pic. that makes shows you what i want to do to my auto mag. (the red line is where i am going to cut, in the only twoplaces that the automag does touch the body.)![]() 12. if i got a automag rt valve, would it fit on a automag classic? would it work? That's all for now!

| 1. it can be done, no clue on the price but I'd highly recommend having someone with an actual machine shop do the work for you instead of attempting it yourself. Maybe check with Noxx. 2. look into a python compression system. you would want their Automag compression system found here: Compression Systems : Python Paintball, Give Your Balls A Squeeze retails for $69.95 This way you can still keep using your J&J that you like. 3. the best cheap paint is a case of fresh paint that you split with a friend. 4. No real point that I could think of, I believe its just for looks. 5. Whatever you feel like, I prefer stuff from JCS Paintball when it comes to tippmann accessories. 6. see #5 7. yes, you are describing two different guns 8. store your picture somewhere on the web, (for instance I use photobucket.com) then click to insert image and it should take care of the tags for you.

| Some slightly different answers: 1. The stock neck on a classic body mag is welded on. I believe Luke over on the AO forums (Automags.Org:) can tinker with it for you, but I have no idea what the price is. He was actually converting classic bodies to stock class feeds. You wouldn't be able to do a center or warp right feed very easily because the hole is offset at about 1:30 o'clock (12 being straight up, 3 being 90 degrees from there), but you can definitely trim the powerfeed down a bit, or just get it converted to DF right with a shorter tube. You -could- cut it down and try to put an Ego feedneck on it I suppose, but your hopper would be at an angle and I think that would make your sideways list even worse. I recommend you ask over on AO and maybe post a query in the airsmiths section here. 2. What is a good barrel system for the price? if you could name things under the hundreds to me, that would be great. I am specificaly trying to find a cheap 2-pc. system. But other things will be good too. CP barrels are pretty nice and not exorbitant. Depending on the threading (or twistlock), sometimes you can get a great deal on Dye Ultralites. PBGateway just had Spyder ones on sale for like $30. Search eBay as well, sometimes you can find a ridiculous deal on a full kit, at one point Evil Pipes and Empire Revolver kits were selling up there for like half or so what they would normally cost retail. 3. What is the best paint for the cheapest price? Depends on what you're shooting, really. If you're hosing paint with an electro, paint quality can suffer a little because you're going for accuracy by volume, with a stock class pump you want those 10 balls to be as perfect as possible. Marballizers tend to be pretty popular and I've always had good results with them, but they're a little pricey. RPS Premium is probably a decent happy-medium paint, and you can find it at a lot of sporting goods stores. 4.What is the point of an angled handle/ regulator? Is it just for looks? Somewhat looks I think, but also comfort. Your front grip tends to do all the work when you're playing with an electro (because your back hand isn't really supporting the gun, it's just flapping around walking the trigger), and it's slightly easier to control the gun up and down if you have a / or \ surface instead of a | surface. The way the human hand is "designed", if it's pointing <- with your thumb up, a \ is the most ergonomic (look at the creases in your palm, and see how they are all slightly angled in one direction, where your hand flexes?). It really doesn't matter THAT much though. 5. What are the upgrades you would suggest i get for my tippmann a-5? Unless you have something particular that's failing you, I wouldn't sink a lot of money in it. Maybe a barrel (see below), and upgrade your Cyclone with 1/8" hosing for a little more speed. The Tech-T Cyclone upgrades are reportedly pretty awesome, but you don't -need- them unless you're making heavy use of a RT or e-grip. 6. What is the best barrel for a tippmann a-5 for a cheap price? J&J Ceramics are like $30. Nice barrel for the price. 7.If i were to get a x-valve, ule body, intelliframe and all that other good stuff, Would i still have the same gun i started with? I mean, changing out all the key parts, how would it still be the same gun? Generally I consider a gun to be the "same" if it uses the same body, or a majority of the basic parts. In your case, you're swapping everything but a couple screws, so it's basically a new gun. 8. How the do you put pictures on here with out using a link? do you just copy and paste it? and if it makes a differance, it is a gimp file, not a jpg.To the best of my knowledge, you can't (MCB isn't an image host). Just use Photobucket. It's free, and you can secure it (as much as you can secure anything on the internet) if you want to.

![]() You are aware that barrels and barrel systems usually come with what is called "threading" and the threading tends to be fairly marker specific. Examples being cocker threaded, spyder threaded, etc.. In the case of "what people think of them" use the search button, since there have been plenty of discussion threads about various barrels and barrel systems. If you are looking for personal testimonies, then I happen to know that Robertsr has spoken highly of the python systems in the past, in fact I believe it was in a thread that you started. Quote:
Asking very general questions like "what is the best paint at the cheapest price?" will not get very helpful responses since both quality and price of paint vary greatly based on manufacturer, marker, barrel, time of the year, geographical location, storage quality, and several other factors that I don't even feel like listing. You might as well post and ask for detailed plans for a FTL drive.

| when logged into photobucket, there is a box on the "my album" page that says 'click to upload' you then use this to search for the picture on your PC similar to saving files. Once the pic is uploaded into your album on photobucket you can use the tags that it gives you under the picture to post the pic in forums like MCB, the most commonly used one being the [img] and [/img] tags.
