Removing stuck steel screws in aluminum barrel

Need some help here. I'm trying to remove two steel set screws from an aluminum barrel extension that's on a brass barrel and they won't budge. Allen wrench slips so that leads me to think that someone in the past put this on real tight and started stripping the lug where the allen wrench goes. Tried heating it thinking might have stuck locktite, but no luck. Even tried drilling the screws and using my easy-out bit, but still won't budge. I'm thinking the screws have rusted/oxidized against the aluminum. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

How hot did you heat it?

May want to do it with a torch, and tehn spray with some WD40 or other fine oil. Heat will make it work itself into the areas where the steel has galled.

I would use KROIL/liquid wrench first. Let it sit over night. Post some pics so I can see what you have.
Thanks,

Unfortunately only with a lighter, no torch on hand. Held it on there for a while, long enough for mu fingers working the lighter to start getting really hot.

I would try some liquid wrench and a small punch then try your easy out. If all else fails you'll most likely have to just drill them out and retap the holes.

Well, tried the Liquid Wrench with no success, so I drilled them out. Now to find a tap & finish the job. Thanks!
