Myth reg output pressure?

I just picked up a steelie with a Myth reg - it's on my Mag, and I've been suffering from some shoot down. Is it possible the reg is not putting out 800+ psi?

Most myth regs shipped from the factory are mid, 600-650psi, unless the reg was upgraded with a high pressure spring, or when purchased the buyer asked for a high pressure myth.

Get a gauge on the tank out put and check it..

Myth regs = junk.

Ive checked 20 of the ones that have passed through my store and they read 650 PSI +/- 400 PSI they are all over the place.. My personal one is putting out 1200 PSI for what ever reason and all I did was screw it on my tank.

If you want a good reg just spend the money and get a CP tank reg...

call guerrilla air and ask them to ship you the high pressure spring, make sure to indicate that you want a spring above 800 psi. They have one, the only thing is that accoring to them it wear out quickly.

I might take it back and have it swapped out for a regular reg. The local store has been having a lot of problems with the reg threads getting chewed up, they might let me exchange it.

This is all very intersting to me. Mine puts out a constant 650psi output... and the ones that I've used have all been in the 600-650psi ballpark, without any jumping around. Guerilla Air is the old Air America guys who are standup guys. Never had a problem with their AA regs and have yet to have a problem with my myth regs. I would contact them as their customer support has always been top notch.

I was told when I bought the tank that it was a high pressure tank - something I need with my Classic-valved Mag. Some of the shoot down problems I had were related to a restrictive bottomline, but I think it also has to do with the lower output pressure. I'm told a Mag needs at least 800 psi at the valve.

Are yo sure you got an authentic one? ANS had a bunch of knock offs in circulation. I have about 10 of these regs and they are all within 600 to 650 PSI.

Mags love High input pressure. I wouldn't use a tank on a mag unless I was getting at least 850 PSI output. I am sure you could always trade your myth reg for a regular HP output one.

Yep... we are a dealer of them at work and one offender came off a brand new Myth Tank 68/45
