Heavy valve springs aren't helping at all. I tried a heavy valve and just needed a heavier and heavier main.

Edit:

I haven't put much paint through her yet as I couldn't get a decent enough efficiency to want to take it out on the field.

I'm assuming I have a stock Phantom power tube. Can anyone give me a link to a power tube that would fit and is larger and is compatible off of airsoldier? Would it be worth getting a lighter hammer as well?

The point isn't to use a light main with a heavy valve, it's to put the heavy valve spring in and compensate from there. If that means putting in a heavier valve spring, so be it. It's tough to get a super light pump action while keeping things efficient.

The gun should be fully nelspot compatible, with the exception that the hammer latch will need to be swapped from the phantom hammer to the nelpot hammer.

I don't believe you can run a LAPCO #6 powertube with CCI guts, but if you can wrangle up a #6 powertube and perhaps a lapco fluted hammer/bolt combo, you may like how the gun shoots. I get 50+ off of my nelspot over 260.

Now, that said, Phantom guts aren't particularly inefficient. Is there a significant area in the valve or air lines that could be devolumized?

I checked out a few hardware stores but couldn't find a washer that could fit the valve and devolumize it. The valve (to me) seems pretty large with about a quarter to half an inch of empty space BEYOND the length of the valve spring.

Right now I think I have the heaviest valve and heaviest main spring in there and it's shooting 280 but horrid efficiency. Consistency is great.

Try finding some delrin or plastic that you can shape into a devolumizer. Pretty doesn't matter when its inside the gun.

When ordering off the Airsoldier page, I want the #6 P power tube correct?

Will that TASO fluted hammer work with the CCI bolt?

#6P will work, I don't know about the taso fluted hammer though, but you could get an ordinary spyder cupseal, some washers and put it on the other end of a weaker valve spring to devolumize? This depends on where the 12g's airway hole is though.

I know mOngo is doing up a chart to show what is Redux compatible. But this doesn’t help. I just got home headed down to the PB shop to see if they have an instore chrono FS or to use I really want to help you out.

Hm, the powertube may work with the CCI bolt if you remove the TPC. Otherwise I think you may have to cut it down.

Also, if you match up that fluted hammer with the stock bolt, you'll lose any anti kink properties you had.

Curses... I'm stuck with the bolt I got from Mongo, since it has a special pump hole drilled in it that I cant replicate myself.
