qloader on a mag (questions and gripes)

Ok, here's the setup:

RTPro mag with ule centerfeed body.
Qloader (obviously)
other misc mods that are pretty much irrelevant.

Anyway, I mounted the qloader harness to the gun in an effective manner under the barrel. I piped the hoses to the feedneck and had to rig it to stay where it's supposed to. The website recommends I believe the Ion kit for a ULE mag, but it doesn't come with the angel threaded feedneck portion of the kit....I actually had to stuff the hose with o-ring inside of a clamping feedneck basically unscrewed all the way, and it looks hideous. The parts inside of the actual pod adapter on the front of the gun keep coming loose and falling out, and they are not really held in there by anything except for a bit of pressure.

Well, those are basically gripes. Here's the issue (ugliness and cheap manufacturing aside): The pods will not feed paint. I can load paint into them, and there is obviously spring tension. However, the pods will not force-feed any paint at all. I even took the hose off to ensure that the pod adapter would hopefully just spit paint all over the place, but it does not. I must be missing something painfully obvious here.....I had to use the hand-crank that is used in loading paint just to get the paint out. Oh and by the way, a brand new Marballizer had broken inside the pod.

I really would like for this product to work, it's such a great idea. However, it's manufactured in such a craptastic fashion, along with lackluster installation instructions (which are outdated to begin with) that it is a real frustration to think that I've invested so much time, energy, and money.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Well what is the possibility that the (broken) marb is jamming up the works?

Also have you tried more then one pod?

I am aware of a similar problem, I had seen that the other fellow was directed to talk with the AI people about a pin tolerance issue. Apparently if it has an incorrect pin it can allow the system to hangup.

Also are you absolutly positive that the pod is fully engaged?

I ask these questions as I am an owner but have never experienced problems with the Q system. If it matters mine is on a ULE warp left mag with pump kit.

Of course if you are local there is always delivery by trebuchet. However, either method of delivery requires wrapping in a plastic bag to prevent leakage of urine.<from pickle>

Did you buy your Q kit new? i.e. are all the pods fresh from the factory?

Did you read the manual?

You probably just need to adjust pre-winds on the pods. They can be kind of a bitch to tinker with but work great once you find their sweet spot.

As far as feed goes, centerfeeds are really not great for Q usage. Powerfeed is ideal (you can swap the plug so it feeds UP), warp is good as well. I'm assuming your hose isn't really kinky or anything since you said the pod won't feed without a hose, but that's also something to watch out for.

Q's are really a huge PITA to set up, but they do work great once you've spent the time to do it well. I really recommend you read the manual like..7 times before you start messing with them.

Ok, few tips to try first:

1) Take the pod out, now aim the mouth of the pod toward a container of some sort - soft surface is preferable cause paint will spin out like crazy.

1a. Then take a small screw driver or any pointy item and push on the hole on top of the pod, this should cause the paint to discharge like no tomorrow.

1b. If that doesn't work, then you need to take the pod out and redo the prewound, if step 1a does not work, please post back and i'll post instruction on how to properly set the prewound

2. For cosmetic look, instead of stuffing the hose+ oring onto the feed neck, how about getting a warp feed elbow, those are available on the airgun.com website as part of the warp feed. This would make your marker look a heck lot better than just stuffing the hose and risk getting it shot off. Do you have the stock elbow that come with the qloader? you can easily stuff the hose+ oring into that stock elbow, then stick the elbow into your clamping feedneck.
