New Bob Longs aren't much better, though. I'd take a Vice over an Ego any day. There are only 2 production electro brands I'll shoot: MacDev and Bob Long, because they're the only electro companies who make guns that are all business.

| WTB: ATS Mags Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Calgary AB Canada | I've owned both an 07 Ego and a BL Vice. The Ego felt a little more polished, but not $500 more. The vice is an incredible "value" compared to other "high end" markers. That being said, my fusion got the job done really well for half the cost of a Vice. |

| Active Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: ct | i believe the ego is currently the best gun on the market today. they are more expensive but they are quality. i personally have only seen 2 ever break. one was cause the kid who owned it didn't put the parts in correctly and the other was a broken ram that broke after very, very heavy usage, eclipse replaced it for free. there is little difference between the 07, 08 and the sl models, so personally i'd just buy a used 07 and put a zick kit (about 40 bucks) in it to eliminate all kick. the 07s are going for around 650-700 and if you wait a few months for the 09 to come out then they'll be even cheaper. i have very little experience with timmy's although i have found the both egos and bob longs are far more reliable then anything made by dye/proto or smart parts. |

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Waco, Texas | i just got a 06 xsv ego with tadao m7 board and kila magnetic detents and a dust gold ccu kit and a dye ultralite barrel with 693 bore and all the original parts and such for $400 and the gun does everything the 08's can do and it is sooooo smooth shooting and accurate just an all around well refined gun
