| Post Whore | Seriously, whats the difference? Semi Q's.. Alright, even though most of the population on here could care less about the new highend semi's, I have a question for you.. So there is the ego, which was origionally based off of the alias Intimidator, or so I've heard.. and "improved on vastly" which retails for around 1250bucks for the new 08... bleh, there is alot of hype surrounding this marker, but some of it may be based in truth.. then there is the Bob long vice comes stock with tadao board, and just about everything else you could want on it.. and it is an intimidator, but the improved version of the gen4 intimidator.. it gets better efficiency than the ego, has a "desirable upgrade board" and a pillow bolt.. is much quieter, shorter etc... and it retails for 750, though some places you can get it for as low as 650 (verified).. Really the only thing the ego the ego has on it is its weight.. and its like a 2oz difference (big deal) well anyway, I was wondering what the real difference is between the two? does the ego somehow heat seek other play'ers, is it more accurate, more consistant, basically what justifies the added 500bucks in price? |

| The name. Eclipse became the forerunner for tournament level markers in the industry. While Bob Long has an awesome company and produces great products he doesn't have the same big name sponsorships like Planet Eclipse has these days. A few differences between the two markers that "might" justify the price difference: - Ego has a nice metal carrying case with foam. - Ego has an on/off ASA - Ego has a two piece barrel - Ego comes with a manual - kinda lame but true, BL does not include a manual with the Vice the last time I checked. For a poppit based marker you cannot beat the deal that the BL Vice affords you. I chose my Droid over my Vice and have not regretted the descision. The Droid costs more than the Vice but is a phenominal marker.

| my 07 ego is an awesome gun... but not for new msrp; i bought mine used and feel i got a good deal; i also have several gen 4 BL timmys, and while these are butter when working correctly, i feel they can be a little more complex to work on... that being said, i'm currently looking into getting a vice ... who saw them for $650? where? when? |
