no i didn't miss, i left that out on purpose.
not many will want a laser sight that can burn through objects.
this is one of the most powerful lasers that a civilian can own with out special permits.

a friend of mine has lit his bar-b-que from 200 yards.

I wonder if it would burn a hole in a supair bunker...

There are no lasers that are safe for directly pointing into people's eyes. Even the lowest power crappy laser pointer you can get at Walgreens for $3 has the little sticker on it with a big red X over the eyeball image.

The lower powered lasers are unlikely to do damage until a pretty high exposure time, but Paintball is a safe sport - so I would suggest against adding a potentially dangerous object to your marker.

And a note on flashlights... A lot of the new "tactical" lights that you can get.. especially the SureFire or the chinese knock offs are extremely powerful. My Z70 Surefire can light something up that is over 100 yards away.... from withing spitting distance I can blind someone with it. This would not be something I would want pointed at me on a paintball field, especially from the play lengths that we deal with.

Real life tactical accessories do not often convert well to paintball.

I have a red dot on my Automag. I have a classic mag with a Lapco Bigshot, and it is accurate as heck! Line up the little dot with the foot poking out from behind that bunker and watch a hand go up and a player walk off the field. Great for woodsball where you have a little time to sight your targets. Not so good for airball or speedball where reaction time is more important.

Just me $.02. Also I stand with the rest that discourage use of the pointer device style... accidents happen, so keep the game fun and safe. We get enough bad press without reports of kids blinding each other added to the pot.
