How Much Should A Full 20oz Weigh?

I got my tank filled today and was wondering how much a full 20oz Brass Eagle c02 tank should weigh. Mine is 2.5 pounds on the dot.

Thank you in advance!

Well, 20oz plus the weight of the tank.

Tank weights very GREATLY since there are so many different manafacturers, and materials, and types of valves.

Brass Eagle itself just subcontracts the tanks from whomever is cheapest, so even the brand is not a realiable source.

But, 2.4lbs sounds good

Thats pretty scary.
Curious why they would skip a safety step? What is the advantage?

Actually 3 lbs is a well-known figure, for, as I mentioned above, a Catalina tank and basic pin valve. Generally speaking this is about the lightest tank and valve, so anything else would be getting underfilled.

The advantage is speed and less wastage (i.e. you can fill a partially filled tank).
