3357

So, my shop owner purchased two 3357's a while ago, and I hadnt known about them until recently. He said he was going to try and fix them, but it appears he gave up as they still sit in the foam case. Anyways, what appears to be wrong with them is they wont latch, the one that you can close the barrel section up will fall back down with even the slightest touch. Do they still make the latches for them? I'd like to see if I can snag one from him cheap and fix it up.

Just open it up and stick a piece of rubber under the latch so it pops up. Be careful not to spring anything else loose unless you feel like getting real familiar with the gun real fast.

Well thats the thing, it looks like over the years a little plastic piece has broken off, there isnt much left there at all, as far as I could tell.

I believe that crosman techs are still accepting these to work on. Someone mentioned it in another thread around here somewhere...Sloonan's has a thread in the misc markers forum about his 3357 and fixing the latch.

Crosman still makes the 357 I believe (pellet gun back-half), and IIRC the latch is the same. You might be able to get parts just by calling them or checking their website.

It depends on what’s broke, if it’s the latch itself, then it should be an easy fix.
But if the hole on the top strap that the latch catches on is ripped open… weeell, you might just have a problem…

EDIT:
And, yes, Crosman does indeed still make the 357.

AmericanPaintball on here carries parts for the 3357s. I think I saw the latch plate on his site. Home
