Does this post assume mechanical in function? Or mechanical as in no batteries? I've heard the new Dye sear tripping Matrix (SLG?) is supposed to be really good on effeciency.

APS? You mean 43 cal? Of course it'll be more efficient - it's shooting a smaller, lighter projectile at about the same speed.

Really? The Sovereign is listed on the Arrow site. Am I missing something?

And to answer the post about the SLG, I am indeed asking about mechanical guns.

a efficient and reliable at the same time is the model 98, custom 98 series of guns. Even some of the older models(.68 carbine, pro-lite) are pretty good with efficiency. I have personally shot about 1100 balls through a 20 oz tank before needing a refill.

Get a nice aftermarket barrel(stock for 98 series blows, recommend the DYE barrels) with a good paint to barrel match and your golden. Hook up an expansion chamber and you should be good for a price hard to beat for a good time!

edit: anyone know about the Vector M1? I remember seeing them a few years ago and they were advertised as getting roughly 700 or so shots from a 9 oz or something i remember?!

For effeciency, I always think about the F1 Illustrator. Didn't it advertise 700 shots per 7oz? (so 2000 per 20oz)

Always struck me as odd that the F1 could be so vastly more effecient then the VM68. despite having the same exact design (at least in theory).

My Montneels get 1200/20oz, though on liquid.

And I would have to agree, I thought the one I had was great. However, I am looking at more affordable markers for a few months down the road.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone!
