Second to that was my Sovreign. And VMs aren't the suckers you rack them up to be, my modded VM gets around 500 rounds on a 9oz. The only other semi I've ever shot that was close to that was a F-1 illustrator. Damn thing never ran out of air. Something like 1200 shots on a 9oz (Seeing a trend? Love those skinny tanks) |

the Sovereign is an auto-cocking gun, but way different than a cocker. it had an LPR as well as a 3-way to switch the actions, but the bolt was the ram. the bolt had a collar on it that acted as a piston. there where 2 air lines from the 3-way on the frame that ran to the body, which the collar sat, thus creating the seal and making he bolt act like a ram. IMO, its a rather elegant way to slim done the old bulkiness of the cocker, which was very blocky at the time(circa 1997). but the cocker craze grew and parts and modifications where very limited. which is why the gun died. | |

A 20 oz lasted several days of play, but at the same time I really can't remember shooting a whole lot either. I have had cockers that were quite easy on air and others not so much. A classic valved Lvl7 mag is actually really decent on air, it is just that the last 600 or so PSI in the tank is not good to it. I would guess that you ere talking only about semi-mechs and not pumps which by design would be more efficent for the lack of having to recock itself.
