Removing the 12 gram seal from a Sheridan KP

In my haste to get ready for Pump Pandemonium... I find myself needing to replace the 12 gram seal on a KP.

Now, I've taken the gun completely apart... Valve is out, etc...

All but the center piece that holds the 12 gram back, and the seal that goes in it.

Am I making sense? This is on the lever action KP, and the seal needs replacing, as it was broken and the 12 gram leaked.

But I can't see how I can get this out. I'm stumped. I need to put in a new seal.

yes, makes perfect sense.

get an empty 12 gram and a wooden dowel. put the 12 gram down the tube and then the dowel and tap the dowel with a hammer. the chamber plug should fall right out.

Hmmm.. tried that earlier, but it didn't budge. Didn't want to bust it up, and wanted to make sure I was doing it right.

Ok.. will try again.

I just gave it a harder tap or two and it popped right out.

Been a long time since I did this. Thanks

your welcome.

yep, sometimes it takes a good hit to break it free... especially if it has never been removed since leaving the factory. those can be tough and need a hard hit.
