| MP-44 or MP-40 I need some advice here folks. I am looking to do either an MP-44 or MP-40 mod on either an A5 or 98. First off, would it be easier to "hollow out" an existing airsoft and clamshell it on (if possible?) or find a good metal worker to custom fit panels? And which would be easier to use, the 98 or A5? So many questions. ![]() |

| I would guess that the MP44 will give you alot more room that an MP40, but outside of that, I cannot help. D

| A.T. Field Producing | I kinda started doing the whole mp40 a5 thing but gave up when I didnt feel like buying a mag. I would sugest a stub barrel, a folding jc t stock and a opsgear magazine if you were to go for the mp40 look. Also maybe throw a front site on the end of the barrel. Or you could always just contact Engler and have them build you whatever you desire although thatll cost you.

| Pbguns that try and look like actual guns almost always look awkward. Your best bet would be the STG44 (If that's what you mean my MP-44) Since it's a bigger piece of hardware. Overall though, modding an M98 or A-5 to look like a stg-44 would be easy, Especially with the A-5. With some basic woodworking skills, you could make a Fore-end and Buttstock for the A5, Add an X-7 or A5 AK clip, and You'd be almost there. But at that point, you could take that Fore end and Stock and make something entirely cool, new and different. Trust me, wood isn;t the material everyone makes it out to be, with basic sears aquirred tools, you can make some seriously cool stuff out of wood. Just don't use pine. Pine is horrable, suitable only for structural use in homes. |
