Cocker related screw questions

I've halfblocked a cocker and this project has a couple problems. The hammer lug got stuck in the hammer after being slotted and ended up being ruined so I'm looking for a new one.

I need the specs of the old one (threading mostly) so I can find the right type on McMaster-Carr or maybe Small Parts.
Also, what is the most common size stepped up to when dealing with a stripped grip frame screw? The old 2k2 body finally gave up the ghost.
Thanks for the help,
Penguin

1/4-28 dog point set screw, but you will have to turn more down on the dog pont. Easiest and cheaper to buy a hammer lug. I'm sure I have one somewhere.

As for a stripped 10-32 frame screw, Id suggest a helicoil. Next step us is 1/4-20, which is huge and would require a bigger hole in the frame.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm looking at my taps and I have a 12-24NC but no OD is given is this a specialty size? I can't seem to find it on McMaster. I probably have to go with a helicoil so it's mostly for interests sake. I'd appreciate a PM if you do find a hammer lug hopefully we can work something out.

Send me your address and I will send it to you. Consider it a Pay It Forward.

And honestly in my 31 yrs of life and always being around a machine shop. Ive never seen a #12 screw.

you can have a tap for them, but nowhere in the rules does it state that you will actually be able to buy a screw to fit em.

Part # 90484A269 is a 12-24 button head x 1/2" long on McMaster-Carr
