Tuning the new Vector?

So I got my first vector today
A new addition to my family (of guns that is)
I love it. I went out to test fire and chrony her. I put about 500 rounds through her and can not get it to fire consistantly. I was using a full 20oz co2 thank (I filled it myself) and I put a brand new battery in the chrony (X-radar). It had me shooting anywhere between 245-311. I messed with the stab quite a bit and could raise it or lower it but the gap of jumping around was just as varried. The reg does look relatively new. Could it be the stab needs worked in? Is their an easy way to adjust velocity on the vector without the input preasure? Am I missing something blatantly obvious?

THe best way to adjust velocity on the vec is with pressure, However yours might still have the origonal adjuster inside. To check just look for an allen screw in one of the holes inside the ASA(on the vec itself) Are you running an anti siphon?

not running an antisiphon. Should I be?
I figgured the stab would take care of most liquid. warm day, in the sun never got frosty

I never ran one with mine, but It couldnt hurt.

Are you using really small paint ? The Vector barrel is fairly large bore, and I find I get some substantial velocity fluctuations on mine when using the X-ball series paint my field uses. It's around .684. I've found much better velocity readings just by using some year old RPS Premium I found in a pod in my closet.
