pgp 2000 - 12 gram question

Hi everyone

I just bought a pgp 2000 locally.

I insert the 12 gram into the chamber, tighten the knob, but i could not get it to puncture the 12 gram.

Am i doing something wrong? And i can't see the puncture pin, is it suppose to be in there?

Thanks

edit: I got it to puncture by trying to cock the bolt? But it seem as if the puncture hole is too small? Or should i increase my velocity? Every time i try to shoot, it make a tiny pop sound as if you are opening a soda bottle and that's about it.

What else should i do?

Thanks

You need to cock it and fire. The first shot is always a little light. The second should be about right. I think most of us have had this problem with our first sheridan.

As pullman alluded to, it's supposed to do that. Enjoy your new PGP!

Oo I try cocking it a lot of time, but every time i shoot, it only make a little pop with the air, instead of a loud noise like i am used to on the zeus pistol.

Is it suppose to do that? It doesn't seem to have enough air.

Also, is there an easy trick to twist the air knob into it? It seem really hard to get it to go in all the way.

Try it with paint. If it isnt enough..turn the velocity up.

It doesn't puncture the 12ie the same way as your Zeus. You should only worry if you look at the seal and see a really, really tiny hole. They're never exactly the same, but usually the holes are no bigger than the head of a pin.

Are you cocking it back two clicks or just one? My PGP2 has two clicks and I have to cock it back all the way so it will fire.

It's 2 click for me, and i make sure to cock it back all the way.

here is the weird thing, every time i try to shoot, i keep getting a "pop" like basically opening a can of soda, that kind of pop, so it is not even enough air to shoot the paintball out of the marker (that pop noise doesn't appear when there is paint inside the marker).

Then i decide to take out the 12 gram, and it really took a whole 2 minutes to discharge a 12 gram. I am thinking it the puncture pin? Or is it something else?

Thanks

Well the pierce pin in Sheridans is much smaller than it is in other 12g valves. Some of the holes in my 12gs are so small that you wouldn't think that it was hardly pierced.

If you need to put your velocity up, try turning your RVA (the black cap around the velocity screw) in half a turn (clock-wise). Then use the velocity screw to fine tune the velocity higher if need be.

I found that my PGP is quite a bit quieter than my other markers, but when you dry fire it, it should not be that quiet.

I used to have that prblum tooo... Heres what you do;
Tighten the plunger till it is just short of "too tight"; then back it off (unscrew it) 1/2 a twist or just a little more... if gas starts to hiss... tighten it up a bit, till it stops. You might loose 3-5 good shots, but if you have a second marker... well lets just say a good "false air change" is a great way to make your opponents do something dumb.
