You need to get "hotter" batteries. Most of the e-gripped stack tubed blow-backs need 9.6v or more to reliable work the solenoid. Most store 9v batteries start out at 9.6 to 9.8 and go down. Sometimes just good brand batteries will work but often you have to go to rechargeable ones to get enough juice.

Also make sure you don't have your velocity screw too far in. If it is, there might not be enough energy to trip the sear.

If you're using the battery they ship with that thing, swap it out with a fresh Duracell or Energizer. Those 'made in China' batteries aren't good for much more than a few test clicks.

Also check your barrel (unscrew it from the gun first of course). There's a chance you've jammed a dozen or so balls into the barrel at this point. They need to come out before you can make it work.
