Springs...

The ones we like to put behind a hammer.

Let me first say that I went through about 10oz of co2 and at least 100 rounds just trying to achieve a usable velocity for my new acquisition...

Good looks don't mean a hoot if it won't perform.

She came to me with a red spring, and a green valve pumping life to a Dyna valve set, and a supposed devolumized dump chamber.

Green valve spring, red main, huge volume... No reg. No biggie, really.
Changed to a blue main, left the green valve spring there in a for a a now decreased dump chamber.

Went back out to test... 15 shots later me's getting a +/-6fps @ an average 271fps. That's with crappy paint too.
So happy
Oh yea, my point?
Well, what ended up happening was that the blue main I used had been clipped by me at some point for what ever reason. After joining the ends closed, I knew that the IVG would need several revolutions in order to get that blue spring to work, and it did. Yes, it worked beautiful. But I also noticed allot less bounce, and a more consistent chrono reading.

That I feel is mainly due to a spring that needed much compression in order to do its job. The longer red was obviously causing erratic velocity issues.

What I've learned here today is that tension is my friend.

Should I let you keep on guessing? Nah, someone who knows might end up stealing the credit, so I'll tell you.
The air passage has been tapped through the receiver just below the dump chamber with a recess and an oring in an oval position. Then through the frame, and ends with another recessed hole for one more oring, and lastly through the ASA. No lines. No fittings. No waste.
