Cooper-T bolt question

I just picked up this NOS bolt, but something doesn't seem right about it.

First the pictures:

First of all the cocking lug doesn't screw in high enough. I am pretty sure that is because Cooper-T didn't use the basic Sheridan lug, but just used a set screw. Easy enough to fix and I got a free lug.

Second, aren't all Cooper-T bolts similar in design to the Speed Demon? When the rod is pushed back, it pushes back the back of the bolt releasing the BBs and allowing the rest of the bolt to freely move back.

The issue: the back of the bolt does not seem to move backwards no matter how hard I pull. Also, the BBs won't budge when I try to push them in, so it isn't like them are on a spring like the original PMI/Sheridan bolts.

In the third picture, you can see a roll pin that goes all the way through the bolt from top to bottom right in from of the back of the bolt. Does this need to be removed?

Any ideas? I picked this up for a good price, but I would hate to think that it is defective.

**Edit: I got something between the back and the bolt and worked it open. It works now like I thought it should. Apparently sitting on the shelf for all these years something stuck the two part together. Thanks for looking.

Well I do know that in the 3 slot there shoud have o-ring inside. For the rest of your probs I dont really understand it.

The bb shoud goes a little inside and rolls quite free but they dont go all the way inside.

Yeah, I know that it should have the orings. I assume it used Sheridan size bolt orings.

I bought a bolt like that. I had to give it a oil bath for a few days before the back would release. As for the lug, doesn't look correct. It should have a side that is flat, to match with hammer. But that shouldn't be a big deal to fix.
