What is this?

Found in the shop and we cant figure where or what it came from. It seems to be some sort of manifold? Guesses welcome.

Somewhere I came across a reference to a manifold replacement, so that instead of mounting the solenoid directly to the manifold, it could be mounted elsewhere. I wonder if this could be something similar?

That sure is odd.
What is in the large hole? Looks like a white ball or something?
AFAIK a manifold is just a spacer for a noid. I can't see this being just a manifold. There has to be more to it than that. The bottom is clearly for a noid. The other 3 holes are whats weird besides the huge white ball thing.

Do the larger holes connect? Is there an air passage, or do they seem to maybe be for mounting it to an actual gun?

Almost looks like the rear end of alien gun.

Is that a membrane valve of some type, with 'noid air passages in the bottom?

I will let it linger for a few more days here, then im milling the ball out of it to see the reason for existence.

It almost looks like a ram housing of some sort, and like that ball is a placeholder for a ram. Or maybe it's a prototype for a valve similar to an MQ. Those are my guesses.

Hmm... or maybe that ball is an exhaust valve, and the solenoid is there to provide back pressure, and the ports tapped on the sides go to a dump chamber, for something similar to a spoolie, but not quite a Matrix style spoolie.

Almost looks like the back piece of an alien. No doubt it is for some similar type of gun if not a different newer alien.
