Maybe a newer regulator..maybe a new valve but what is in there probably works great.

back in the day they sold honing deals for your barrel in the paintball magazines. Longstory short, I got a little over zealous with it. It's not too bad, but the bore is around .695 range I believe. With a closed bolt, or pump -not good.

about using freak inserts - I figured there was someone in particular here in the forums that did it.

I'll hook up air to it. HPA should be fine on it right?
I have an AKA reg handy, or maybe even a newer WGP reg I can put on it.

I forgot to mention that I tuned, polished, new springs etc the trigger and it's really light and smooth trigger pull. Also this thing pumps better than most of the newer pump kits out there.

It would be fun to set her up again and bring her to the field!

IF you didnt pull the valve and change you really wouldnt need a reg at all.

Older sniper were sprung for direct CO2 so anything going it at that pressure should be more then good..

Dont get me wrong you can run a reg for consistancy but you really dont need it. I tossed one on an old rental sniper for a game years back and it was really efficient with the reg on it for some reason.

keep it as original as possible...change o-rings and oil it

look for a new old barrel...possibly a stock bull barrel with matching anno and have it drilled

dont re-anno! that will destroy value!

look for an old skewl VL100 and 1 peice moulded elbow

maybe a T-stock or other style of wire stock

don't re-anno hmm... I won't but thought anno would bring her back to life.

i have a VL100 or two laying around

and I have an old t-stock somewhere...use to have that wrap around stock, but not sure where it went. might even have one of the original L stocks handy.

thanks guys for all the post!

Anodizing wont bring it back to life at all. Just make the tolerances a bit looser.. really when people look at that year WGP body..they dont care if it is black or not.

Save the money and keep the good solid stock finish. Its just not money well spent. You never know how well itl turn out after anodizing. If it isnt broken, dont fix it.

Good worn in snipers shoot as good as anything fancy..when set up nicely.

I bet thats a real shooter.

The 8" barrel on the AR is very useful in home defense. Suppose you have 10-20 intruders. Fine, let's just round up to a platoon. The 8" barrel allows for maneuvering around open doorways and hallways with greater ease. The platoon split into squads. There's a squad of 5 down the hall ahead of you checking out your 52" Sony LCD and 5 behind you in the bedroom going through your wife's underwear drawer. Toss a flash bang into the bedroom to buy some time. Rock and roll on the squad lifting the TV. Now, with your 8" barrel effortlessly pivot around and easily eliminate the disoriented bedroom intruders clutching their ears from the flash-bang. Since the other squads are outside the residence, in reserve awaiting orders, simply detonate the pre-positioned claymores hidden around the perimeter to finish the operation. All because of the short barreled rifle...
