| TANSTAAFL Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: People's Republic of Maryland | I've got an SP1, which is internally identical. The only difference between the modes is the dwell setting. If you were to upgrade to the semi/3 round/auto board (if it's not already), then you lose the dwell setting. Honestly, I hardly used the stock board, I upgraded pretty quick to a T-Board. |

| Spread The Virus | I had an SP-1 and since the Vibe and the SP-1 are basically the same gun I'll tell you what I know. They are a dumbed down Ion to put it simply,no eyes capped at 13 bps and really simple to work on.They can be run on co2 but,I'd recommend if you're going to run it on that you use a remote or anti siphon tank because the reg on the gun is designed to cut off flow and vent it if liquid gets in it to prevent solenoid damage.Found that with the tank co2 screwed on the gun it'll freeze up rather quickly and cause the gun to shut down until the pressure equallizes.

| Ignorant Child | Very simple gun, lacks eyes, and almost never chops. Not the best thing in the world if you like upgrading, but as a simple and durable platform, it's very nice. I strongly recommend an anti siphoned Co2 tank. The reg vents any liquid Co2, preventing damage to the solenoid, but it takes several seconds to vent, stalling the gun. Think of it like an idiot proof Ion. If such a thing can exist. Almost everyone I know who has had problems with the gun either: A: Had a dead battery B: Had their velocity way to high or low. EDIT: Only the Virtue and the T board can go over 11 BPS. There is no "stock" board that can go 13 BPS.

| MCB Member | Ive been chasing a leak around on mine for a while now.. But I also ran a non anti siphon 4 oz on it, DOH! Im going to bring it to the next event where smart parts techs are going to. Other then that... awsome little cheap gun.

| REDUX Freak w/ PTSD | Alrighty now, the VIBE was a great choice for my son. Super easy to chrono it comes set for C02 from the factory and thats what Zack used today. Factory setting was 304fps a couple of turns and we had it shooting consistantly around 280. No ball breaks no coughs, no problems. Not a bad choice for a newbie or seasoned vet. It will keep up with the big boys at a fraction of the cost. I know the evil empire SP made it but thus far it was the right choice for my son. The trigger is a little touchy as Zack capped dear ole Dad square in the forehead while we were working the tape. I turned to give him a little direction and he cacked me. I laughed all the way to the dead box. |
