o-ring sizes

I'm going to a Big Game next Wednesday, so I was just checking some of the guns I plan on bringing, making sure they're all fit and ready to go!

But now, my PGP is leaking down the barrel. The cup seal is fine, but the o-ring that fits around the valve "body" (not sure what it's called) is busted.

Let me get a picture...

Ok, it's the one that the red arrow is pointing at:

Anyway, I've been meaning to order a seal kit from Palmers for a while, but now it's a little too late to do that. It'll never be here before Wednesday!

So I figured, I might go and see if the local hardware store has any. Problem is, I already threw the old o-ring away, so I don't have much reference. I suppose I could bring the whole gun the store, but I'm not sure if that's such a good idea... :P

So my question is, does anyone know the exact size of the o-ring?

i dont have the paticular part but i can assist you in figuring out the size of oring

almost all orings on paintguns can be replaced with a Buna-N rubber standard size oring...my estimates would guess that that oring is somewhere between size -011 and -014

these are all 1/16" cross sectional diameter orings from the AS568A series (the most common, and cheap...usually around $3 for 100)

measure the inside diameter of the oring by measuring the outside diameter of the oring seat

here are the sizes... (AS568A series:ORING INSIDE DIAMETER)
-011 :5/16"
-012 :3/8"
-013 :7/16"
-014 :1/2"

these are all 1/16" cross section so the oring outside diameter would be +1/8" of the inside diameter

order orings from mcmaster.com ...these guys are great! im a research physicist and use them for everything

good luck!

014 is same as a tank o-ring IIRC.That's about the right size anyway.

yeah, they'll work on a tank for a time or two but don't last.

Yeah I meant that he could use the tank o-ring will work on the valve. The one on the valve looks urethane anyway, Buna is black IIRC.
