tippman full auto hopper spring??

hi,

I just located a tippman full auto gun locally. The owner wants 130 for it, but it is missing the hopper spring. How hard is it to find a new hopper spring?

Mel

Pretty easy, you just go to that big government warehouse where they keep the Ark of the Covenant and the bodies from Roswell.

Is the spring totally missing, or is it just broken? If it's broken, you might be able to fix it depending on how bad. If it's missing, you're SOL unless you find someone with a broken gun and a working Star Feeder (extremely unlikely).

these springs are commercially available

these springs are commercially available.......or at least similar ones are.
I came across similar springs a week ago........but i cannot remember where!

They are like a rolled strip on a sardine can.

I can photo and measure the original if need be.

Hrm..good resource. Any idea what kind of pricing on those springs?

Mel - If you get the gun, and find a spring that works and have any issues installing it, post up here as well. I know I have monkeyed around with one a bit and I'm sure other people probably have as well. They're kinda a pain to get wound properly so they work right.

If you are looking for a tape spring, just open a tape measure. Small tape, small spring.

Of course if you are local there is always delivery by trebuchet. However, either method of delivery requires wrapping in a plastic bag to prevent leakage of urine.<from pickle>
