| Active Member | Old autococker, no IVG? Hello, i just recently traded for an old cocker pump, with some milling on the body and such, so i recieved the other day and come to find out theres no IVG, at all, not even threads for one. The serial number is 15043 and if the cocker database is correct this is a 93, somone killed its value by milling it but in 93 did cockers not have IVG's? is my only velocity adjustment spring pack and regulator adjustment?. Im thinking about selling it due to the lack of the IVG what are your thoughts?

They did not originally come with 'dial-a-welt' kits from the factory, which was one of their major weak points. BTW: Guns of that age are not cocker pumps. They're snipers. Autocockers were just coming off the assembly line as autocockers at that point ;-) |

| Active Member | well the guy who traded it with me thought it was a 98, so i didnt think it was a sniper, the field owner at the field i work at has a sniper 1 that he lets me play with once and a while, and that dosent have an IVG either.

ANS & Rex style IVG's can be used. I also wouldn't be worried about the value being affected that much by the milling. Sniper 1's of that vintage are really worth all that much as collector's items. Murph - Even Sniper 1's had factory velocity adjusters. Last edited by Chefdave; 09-30-2008 at 11:43 PM.. |

| Gun Hoarder | Take a look at the hammer, IIRC it was Pro Team had a RVA that was in the hammer and where the stock ones were was just a plug with a hole in it. |
