KP-3 and KP-2 Hammers

Would the KP-2 be the same as a KP-3?

KP-3 hammer part number is C601-A.

The part description for C601-A from my supplier is "Hammer for Sheridan, Trigger with 2 lobes and no line up pin on breech plug."

Description for C601-B is "Hammer for Benjamin/Sheridan 390 series, Trigger with 2 lobes and sliding safety and line up pin on breech plug."

Now the KP has a pin to hold the rear plug in place....Do you think that would be considered the breech plug?

Any thoughts?

I would think that the line up pin is the pin in the hammer to keep it from rotating, My KP2sc has a round hammer w/two lobes and no pin (see a PGP hammer for one with a pin). I would think that allowing the hammer to rotate is better as it allows the lip(s) to wear evenly all the way around so they dont wear out like nelson style bolts.

The second sounds like a hammer for the later KP3s that had a pull tab safety as opposed to a rocker on early KP3s and all KP2s.
